Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison

Lovelight farms by B.K. Borison is an enchanting rom-com between a dashing data analyst, and a messy, yet optamist christmas tree farm owner, in a small town with the best hazelnut lattes. This sweet, yet steamy read is a holiday happily ever after, for lovers of small town romances.

Stella has loved the christmas tree farm since she was little, but in an effort to save it, she enters a contest with influencer Evelyn St. James. With the extra publicity, and the huge cash prize on the line, Stella will do anything to save the farm and turn it into a romantic holiday destination, including lying on the application saying she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only... there is no boyfriend.

Enter the best friend, Luka Peters, who came for some infamous hot chocolate, yet left in a serious relationship.

Lovelight Farms is the first book in a holiday inspires series of cosy small town romances that follow four friends who find love in their quiet town of Inglewood.

Personally, I was a little skeptical about this book, it was a booktok recommendation and romance usually isn't my cup of tea. BUT from the first page I was HOOKED. I love Christmas and I have never read a Christmas romance before, so going into this book I had huge expectations of a romance with a white Christmas.

"I'm going to love her in all the quiet ways, the slow ways, the loud and obnoxious ways."

This such a cute and festive rom-com that showcases love, family and the importance of friendship. The plot, the characters and the storyline peaked my interest with every page. The tropes in this book are something else, from friends to lovers, to fake dating, and small town romances. I really liked B.K. Borison's style of writing, it wasn't too slow nor too fast paced. It was descriptive and super easy to follow, and the characters were extremely relatable. I could see so much of myself in Stella, and Luka is everything and more.

"I know you can take care of yourself. You've been doing that as long as I've known you. But let me hold your hand while you do it okay?"

I absolutely loved that Stella and Luka began fake dating for the contest, yet had secret feelings for one another for YEARS. The tension that came from that... WHEW! Although spice in this book was a 3.5/5 for me, it was light and fluffy and had myself giggling and kicking my feet. I love romance drenched in spice, but this was a nice change and showed the truest form of love between Stella and Luke.

Overall, this was an easy 4.5/5 for me, it was light, easy to read and the characters were amazing. It was a soft and lighthearted read, perfect for the Christmas season.
