Embarking on an Epic Adventure: A Court of Mist and Fury Edition

Welcome, fellow book lovers and wanderlust enthusiasts! Today, we're embarking on a journey inspired by the magical realms and enchanting landscapes found within the pages of Sarah J. Maas's "A Court of Mist and Fury." If you've ever dreamt of dancing under starlit skies, exploring ancient ruins, and experiencing a world filled with magic and danger, this travel adventure is tailor-made.

Velaris – The City of Starlight: Our first stop is Velaris, the breathtaking City of Starlight. Imagine strolling through vibrant markets filled with artisans and traders, the air tinged with the scent of exotic flowers. Discover hidden cafes with live music, echoing the lively atmosphere of the Night Court. Explore the city's majestic architecture and perhaps find your secret spot to watch the stars.

Well, you can! Zermatt, Switzerland is the perfect real-life Velaris. Ramiel, aka The Matterhorn Mountain, can be easily mistaken for the insignia Rhysand had tattooed on his knees. There are trains and gondolas that you can take from the little towns around the edge of the mountain, perfect to embed yourself in Feyres' world.

Take a Stroll Along the Sidra River: Next, visit the Sidra River, better known in Zermatt as the Mattar Vispa. Although the only difference between this river and the one in Pyrinthian, it doesn't lead out to sea, but with the countless cafes to sit in and admire the beauty of the city, it is a detail that can be easily overlooked. The water trails right through the city, from the mouth of Gornia Glacier winding the whole way through the City of Starlight.

Visit the Galeries in The Rainbow: As an art lover myself I was always intrigued by the art that was within The Rainbow, and to find out I can visit something very very similar is amazing. Within Zermatt, you can visit the Old Town, also known as Hinterdorf. This town contains many old homes, stores, stables and art galleries that were built back in the 16th to 18th century, an easy way to be transported into the artists' quarter in Velaris.

Party at Rita's: If you are someone who wants to spot the Inner Circle out and about in the nightlife of the city, Rita's, better known as Harry's Bar, is the place to find them. I can imagine More, Cassian and Azriel partying with those who live in Zermatt. This bar is usually packed during the ski season, the perfect place for the Inner Circle to wind down and have fun.

Visit the Place Worthy of the House of Wind: Although the Mountain can be seen from all over Zermatt, the only place that is deemed worthy of having the House of Wind would be an area known as Le Petit Village, at the top of Murini Hill. This is the perfect view of all the quaint little houses and the Matterhorn Mountain. Although it doesn't require walking 10,000 steps, I'm sure it will be a challenge to get to that viewpoint.

Conclusion: As we conclude our adventure inspired by "A Court of Mist and Fury," remember that the magic of travel lies in the unexpected. Whether you find yourself in bustling cities, serene landscapes, or embracing new experiences, let the spirit of the Night Court guide you on your journey.

So, pack your bags, unleash your inner adventurer, and embark on a voyage that echoes the magic and wonder of Feyre and Rhysand's world. Who knows what enchanting discoveries await? Happy travels, and may your journey be as epic as the tales that inspired it!
